Welcome to Shoshone, Idaho!

Gateway to Idaho's High Desert, the Sawtooth Mountains wilderness and famed Sun Valley Resort.

Shoshone is located in Central Idaho at the junction of U.S. Highway 93, 26 and scenic State Highway 75. Just 23 miles north of Twin Falls and 75 miles to the famed Sun Valley Resort.

At this time of year, we would like to thank all those that serve our country, policeman, firefighters, military personel around the world.

The Trailing of the Sheep

October 10, 2009          Ketchum

The annual parade and festival celebrate the history and culture of sheep ranching in Idaho.  Laura Sluder, Blue Sage Farms, sold products produced in Lincoln County and she added to the parade with her team and sheepcamp.

Acey and Mitch Lucero also dispalyed their sheepcamp and served thier famous dutch oven stew and raosted lamb.  Mark and Julie Ingram helped prepare and serve the lamb sandwiches served after the parade on Sunday.
